Enoch Chan founded Heru AI in May 2025, after fourteen years at McKinsey & Company. He was a global partner of the firm, generative-AI lead for QuantumBlack — McKinsey’s AI arm — across Asia, and a core leader of its financial services practice, serving Fortune 100 financial institutions including global banks, insurers and asset managers across the full range of chief-executive topics.
Heru AI is where he takes that expertise deeper than advice can reach. He now builds alongside talented founders, inside the companies themselves, applying AI to what he holds to be the most valuable problem in the field: trust.

- Generative AI
- Led QuantumBlack’s generative-AI build and outreach across Asia, including the first agent co-pilot and virtual-agent prototypes for a global life insurer.
- Transformation
- Transformation partner to Fortune 100 banks and insurers, across distribution, proposition, new business models, M&A, customer experience and operations.
- AI in production
- An analytics-driven financial planning platform for a global bank; straight-through processing in underwriting for a pan-Asia insurer; an agency recruitment model for a Taiwanese insurer.

He has written on generative AI and hybrid distribution since 2019 for the Financial Times, Asian Private Banker and Asia Insurance Review, and has been interviewed by the South China Morning Post, TVB, Phoenix TV and Southern Financial.
